1) I have Hashimoto's but have not started taking hormones yet.  I have been
going to someone who does herbal medicine and acupuncture for 2 months.  Many of
my symptoms have decreased, but some have not.  My joint pain has diminished
considerably just recently.

2) Why was it said that Armour isn't prescribed because of "current economic and
political conditions"?  Is Synthroid cheaper than Armour?

3) I am 32 and was diagnosed with Hashimoto's 2 months ago.  I do not have any
children.  Now I am concerned about having children because I'm concerned about
passing an autoimmune disease down to them.  My mom has rheumatoid arthritis and
my grandfather had some type of autoimmune disease.  Does anyone else have this
type of concern?  Does anyone know about the comparative risk between a child of
someone with Hashimoto's and the average person?

4) How do you get on the alternative medicine thyroid list server?

I really appreciate all I have learned from this group in just 1 1/2 weeks.
