Just warning you to proceed slowly. (No choice, I would do it.) I was at a
seminar where the speaker was making a joke about opthamologists, he was
saying there was a protest around Washington DC by opthamologists about
something, he was wondering if they were pushing Lasik so hard, why did all
the doctors and their spouses still wear glasses if it was so good.
My wife suggested I should get that once or twice (but they don't have a
solution for my problem.) Then she saw a news show or something about
patients saying they had 20/20 vision but they had serious prolems like they
couldn't stand light, or sunshine.
Before any family member ever gets surgery again I'm going to make very sure
what the doctor does after surgery. I'm going to be sure he's reachable, and
also that if there seems to be something wrong he's going to come back. MY
wife had nose surgery, she woke up with her throat in pain, several hours
afterward when she threw up the nose inserts, the hospital finally figured
out why she had such pain and problems breathing. She almost died from
stupidity. And in spite of the nurse's calls,,the performing doctor never
came out to see the problem. Unfortunately, it's hard to sue doctors in
Michigan now.
