I would expect higher T3 to lower your cholesterol. Its possible that the
T4 in Thyrolar and also now in the Synthroid is not converting to T3 but to
Reverse T3 which is inactive and can block some of the T3 from working.
This could make your T3 levels look high when the function of the T3 is
still too low. You may want to read about Wilson's syndrome also:

The other question would be whether or not your new dose is equivalent to
what you were taking before. What dose of Thyrolar were you on and what
are the current amounts of Synthroid and Cytomel? Many doctors leave you
with a much lower total dose when they switch.
