In the book "From Fatigued to Fantastic" the author says, 'Thyroid
supplementation can increase a patient's cortisol metabolism and unmask a
mild adrenal insufficiency. If the patient feels worse on low dose thryoid
replacement, the patient may have adrenal (or thiamine) insufficiency."
In the book the author gives criteria for treating this such as an AM
cortisol reading under 12, which is why I'm treated for this.
It could also be that Synthroid doesn't work for you.
