My sister went for a scan of her thyroid and it wouldn't take up any of the
material. Only showed a thyroid about the size of a pea.

Her doctor told her this is very unusual, that it doesn't appear in any of
the medical books and is sending her to an endochrinologist.

She's been on synthroid (150) for several years and they had her go off
completely for this scan. She gained 14 pounds, puffed up, got stupid, etc.
and is now back on synthroid awaiting appointment with endochrinologist, but
at 200.

Any thoughts.

Anna
