I've heard many people say that their sinus infections resolved once their
thyroid problem was properly treated. This is what I experienced, as well.
I have a T3 to T4 conversion problem so no matter how much T4 I was given
and how low my tsh went, the T3 level wouldn't budge, and the sinus
infections continued. The infections didn't resolve until I was on armour
thyroid and got my T3 levels high. It was a nice surprise! Too bad they
didn't resolve the migraines I get when the barometric pressure changes. I
always know when we are going to get rain....

Do you know if there was any relation of the sinus infection to the
thyroid problem?
