." Essential Tremors
I also was "diagnosed" with Essential Tremors, which is a tremor with no
apparant cause. In other words, one shakes a lot and they cannot figure out
why. It really is not a diagnosis in my book. I'm exactly the same as your
brother!
I know that staying away from stimulants helps a lot (as I said before). He
can easily try this. It's also easy to try Licorice Root....and I don't
believe this would have any side effects, and if he improves, then he would
know that weak adrenals are at least part of the problem. He may have to do
a trail and error thing. My feeling is that the adrenals are at play here.
He should also try breathing techniques to handle stress better. I don't
think there is just one cause.
I remember once some 12 years ago when I had to speak in front of a group -
my left ankle starting shaking horribly! I had no way to hide it! Now I
handle public speaking much better - still nervous, but no more shaking. If
he wants to improve, he will have to take an active role in his healing as it
will be a long process.
All the best to your brother...
Mary Jo
