3 of my sisters and I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's and being hypo.
One sister recently mentioned that her 4 year old daughter has unusually
high cholesterol levels and I remember reading that that can be a sign of
thyroid problems in children. My sister is willing to bring up the idea
with her daughter's pediatrician, Marcus Welby like in his willingness to
listen, but she wants more information on the subject.
What are other symptoms of childhood thyroid problems and does anyone know
of some good articles?
Please do not send any horror stories of poorly treated children or inept
doctors to this request. The doctor will more than likely see the emails
and he is one of the good guys. Also, I don't want to inadvertently scare
my sister-all that is needed right now are facts.
Thank you.
Jackie
