My Dr believes (and I've read elsewhere) that T2 is the "water releasing"
hormone in Armour. If you are on synthetic T4/T3, then you wouldn't be
getting the lesser thyroid hormones (T0, T1, T2). I do know that my edema
in my ankles reduced with I started Armour (from Synthroid + Cytomel). Your
mileage may vary.
A lower-carbohydrate diet can also lessen edema. Again, your mileage may vary.
