Hi group,
I'm currently trying stabilise my meds for hypo following RAI treatment due
to Graves disease.
My endocrinologist seems pretty receptive to my suggestions when it comes
to treatment and is aware that I do quite a lot of reading about it on the
WWW and in these groups.
He's currently trying me with T4 & T3 replacement, something I suggested we
may try at some time and he agreed.
My last blood tests showed my TSH low, T4 average, T3 high. Prior to the
combination treatment I was just on Thyroxin 120mcg and all levels were fair
but for TSH which was low. He wasn't bothered about that because he doesn't
treat the lab numbers but treats me.
For some time now, I've noticed increasing Edema in my legs and feet
combined with general weight gain. I've been feeling a tired a bit more
frequently too. Otherwise, not too bad apart from continual abdominal
bloating or discomfort which the docs put down to irritable bowel.
Any thoughts on the levels of T3, T4 etc. with regard to the edema?
Thanks in advance - Clive
