I have been fighting my TSH levels for the last 9 months. I have
decreased my thyroid dosage from .15 to .1 in the last 9 months
gradually. Prior to this time, I had been on .15 for two years and
feeling great! Prior to that time, I was on .1-.125 for 20 years. A
recheck showed all levels normal except TSH. My last TSH level was .07.
It has been about that whether I was on .15 or .1. I am feeling
extremely exhausted and it continues to get worse as they decrease my
thyroid hormones.
I was on massive doses of Prednisone for hives for 2 months and on
massive doses of antihistamines as well for the last 6 months because of
hives. During that time, thyroid antibodies were found as a part of
bloodwork done to try to figure out why I had hives. At 50, my estrogen
levels seem to be fine but I have many signs of menopause. There's got
to be something that's affecting my TSH level. I spend most of my time
exhausted or asleep. I am having a very difficult time making it through
the school day. Can anyone help? Thanks so much!
Debra Roethke
