In your case, your doctor should measure T3 and T4 as your prednisone dose
and the cytoxan makes measuring your thyroid needs by TSH more than invalid.

Please take a copy of the article to your doctor and give it to him.  While
you are there suggest  he run the T3 and T4 which exist whether you have a
thyroid or not.
