Yes, corn syrup and other 'franken foods' that were not available even to
our recent ancestors, say a generation or two ago.

My friend told me about her dad and all the relatives on the farm who ate
plenty of lard and bacon fat and were all healthy as a horse.

No corn syrup in those days, nor other franken foods.
