I think that taste sensitivity to salt increases dramatically.  I don't
think about it, but I rarely add salt when I'm cooking anymore.  I can
barely stomach a simple piece of bacon now, and I have a hard time
believing that I used to like the taste of something that is so salty that
it stings my mouth when I eat it.
