Yeah, but too bad those things aren't reflected in my salary now, eh? I
give credit for everything to my God and my parents. They're the ones who
always encouraged me to do the things I wanted. There's always a downside
to "going for the gusto", Ken. For example, if I'd paid attention to what
was happening in my first marriage instead of what was going on in the
studio, I wouldn't have lost my first family. I rode in a major race a
couple days after Anna's birth when I should have been home caring for
Laura. I've done a lot of cool things, but at a price. It's taken me 44
years to get my priorities straight-and I'm not quite sure I've arrived even
yet.

I'm not great, Ken. In fact, until I pooped the achilles, everything was
about "me". I hope my greatest achievement is that I finally stopped being
a selfish asshole. I would give all my "glory" away if I could just heal
the hurt I caused my family and friends along the way. This comes from a
man who rented an airplane for an hour and told his (former) wife that he
couldn't afford to get her a new winter coat--both in the same day.

To know grace is to know how truly amazing it is.

-Kyle
