Esteemed Sir!
On the world famous but now antique US Trust project, we bought a very nice
late 19th C Belgian black mantel from D'Alessandro-Jackson, which had a
pretty high polish on it. I wouldn't say it was polished to a Trump-level of
gloss (wanna bet he does that so he can watch himself consorting with his
arm-candy, wherever he feels like doing it?), but I suppose it was a
French-polish sort of level: refined and dignified, but not flashy.
In the certainty that this degree of specificity will be of great assistance
to the mother of your enforcer, I remain,
Very truly etc.
PS--Tell her to go to D-J or whoever sells mantels these days (I recently
hear a WQXR radio commercial for somebody who wasn't D-J, who claimed to have
the most stck in NYC) and see what she likes.
