Reminds me of taking a friend on her first Morgan ride. She said how nice
it was to be able to smell the honeysuckle as we drove down a little
country road in the open car, connected with the environment, etc. I agreed
but pointed out that you also get to smell the manure, skunks, diesel
exhaust, etc, whatever happens to be in the air through which you pass. But
as the air passes swiftly, it is gone as readily as it arrived.
The apparent wind is always from ahead--therefore if you are following
honey wagons in anything faster than a horse and buggy, you will drive
through the effluvium.
