It was fun to meet up with you in Hartford at the Conn. Trust annual
conference (You were not standing around giving the Preservationeer's
Saaaaluute, so of course I did not recognize you. Once we figured out how I
knew you: now known, never forgotten). I was so busy getting set up and
giving my talk on maintenace and insurance that  I didn't get to learn much.
I wanted to ask Howard Mansfield (keynote speaker and author of "Same Ax
Twice") some questions about the perception of time, but it didn't seem to
fit the discussion that developed after his talk (I'll catch up with him
over in New Hampshire another time) I did get to the reception in the
capital building at the end of the day and went on John Canning's tour of
the decorative arts throughout the capitol--there is absolutely nothing like
hearing the story from the knowledgable tradesperson's point of view.
