Disregard the split problem.  <HI HI HI>
I got mixed up between the split button and the TF SET.  I was pressing the
TF Set for the split! <HI HI HI>

Well, I don't think there is a menu option for the split,  you set 1
frequency, receive usually in A, then put the one you want to transmit on on
in B, then hit Split, to monitor your xmit frequency you hit the TF set and
hold it, but  if that doesn't work, I would say you have a problem.  I don't
know of a way to make the VS-3 read the SWR, I know it can read the S meter
if you use menu option 41 and move the setting up 1 setting I think it is,
either up or down one, I believe it's up. I leave mine set to have the
button on the front read the S meter, then when I want to know the frequency
I just hit enter twice and it reads the frequency.
