Maybe there's a difference between eating fish and just taking fish oil capsules. Fish contains selenium and other natural anti-oxidants and reasonable servings do not come anywhere close to the mega doses prescribed by Sears for instance in his new book, Omega-RX. By the way, Sears also mentions the possibility of lipid peroxidation but says that taking additional vitamin E minimizes any potential harm.
