I started a month or two ago and had this EXACT experience. The initial
weight loss was so fast and large it scared me, because I don't have much
extra weight, and the bodily function part happened too and also scared me.
But both things have returned to normal and now I'm a bit worried I'll GAIN
weight, given what I've read from other people on this list. I don't
understand what causes the initial weight loss to be so dramatic, and why it
later stops. I did take a look in the Neanderthin book last night though and
there was a part about how your body doesn't initially have enough of the
right enzymes to digest the new foods, particularly all the protein, and I
guess that would explain the kind of "dumping" syndrome.
