On the subject of Brick Dust in mortar for tinting, I agree that iron
oxide is probably the colorant you are seeing. However, brick dust with
hydraulic propertites is available from Liner/Rolpanit Co. in Toronto
(416)534-1511 along with pozzolan and other fun lime related stuff.
