OK, I am going to put myself in it again and get everyone stirred up.

DH is hard to diagnose. The doctor that diagnosed me 35 years ago, had
just completed medical school. They studied DH in school. The symptoms
were fresh in his mind. Now mind you, I come from Rhode Island, and
went to the best specialist on the east side, and they could not figure
out what was wrong. By this time I was suffering from this terrible DH at
the age of 12 to age 21.

Then I met Dr. Riveria. He took a skin biopsy and it confirmed I had DH.
I thank god for him everyday. He tried me on another drug which did not
work. At the time, Diasone was the drug then, Dapsone was made from
Diasone some 35 years ago. Dr. Riveria gave me my options and let me
read all the bad side affects from diasone (dapsone). I chose the
diasone (dapsone). I have been on it for 35 years. I have blood tests
every 3 months. God must be shining upon me. Because pridsone does not
work for me.

When I started on the dapsone, within hours I could feel the itching
subside. Within 5 days, the rash was clearing up. I now have Celiac Sprue
disease, which was diagnosed this past July. Lucky me to have DH and Celiac
Sprue disease all in one.

Claritin is for allergies for green things. I take 1 zyertec a day. I am
allergic to anything that is green outside.

Your brother needs to find a new dermatoligist. When he calls around he
needs to ask if they know anything about DH before he even makes an
appointment. Your a New Englander, you know how to make it happen.

The Dapsone was my choice....I have not regreted it for one minute.

Well let me go make my homemad chocolate donuts....I have been longing for
one all day today.
