Hi there

Would someone be able to advise me. I am celiac and have two genes for it
too. I have had 6 of my 7 children food allergy tested (IGg). They all
came up as very positively allergic to gluten/wheat, milk, yeast, eggs and
a few others too. My husband is also allergic to all these. I then
decided to get them tested for celiac as well because of me. So far, 3
children have come up negative for IGa transglutaminase. Negative being
less than 4, they were all under 1. One child came up 3.4 and one child 10.

The child that came up 10, I am assuming has celiac disease and the other
one will be tested in 6 months to see if it increases, she is only 3. Do
you think I am right in saying that the child with 10 must stay off gluten
for life, like me and the one at 3.4 should stay on gluten for another 6
months? The others can stay off gluten in the house but outside the house
they can eat gluten?

Is it still possible that the other "negative" children could still get
celiac, ( I only discovered mine last year) and should also be re tested
in 6 months? Is the child with 10 definitely celiac? I do not want to
have any of them biopsied, I haven't been either. So far, this child seems
symptom free except for mood swings and very rough skin that both have
improved over the last week on a gluten free diet.

Thanks for any insight.
