Thanks to all that wrote to me.  I get sore spots that feel raw from time to
time.  I say sore because they are sore to touch, but there is nothing there
 no rashes, dry skin or discoloration.  It looks like normal healthy skin,
but feels like a sunburn.  It is usually on my forearms and sometimes on the
tops of my thighs.

It was suggested that hypothyroidism can cause this.  I do have that and
have been taking thyroid pills for 30 years.  Someone else said that gluten
ingestion can also cause this.  I did get some gluten accidentally this week

  (It was in some chocolate candy.  I think that's called entrapment!)

Thanks again.  I'll just have to be way more careful and only eat the
absolutely "safe" chocolate.
