I actually worked for years at H&R Block so I understand all the formulas.
I have also been paying attention to previous discussions.  My husband (who
used to add up the sales taxes of receipts)  wondered if it was worth the
trouble.  From what I can tell from responses so far it isn't!  Which is
what I suspected.  We do sometimes make medical if we've had a really bad
year.
