Well, Jana...

I wasn't clear...  Vegetarianism (wherein vegetables provide the only
sustenance: i.e. veganism, and its ilk) is better suited to a sedentary
lifestyle, IMHO, as I've seen in urban and suburban neighbourhoods, where
life is lived reliant on the year-round availability of vegetables, et
cetera...

There's no doubt in my mind that we need animal protein to survive.
However, I remain headstrong, as far as where my meat comes from.  I'm of
the opinion that one's meat source should consist mainly (if not entirely)
of wild game: I particularly like grouse, moose and deer.

Perhaps I'll sit down and shut up until I know more about the paleo-diet and
have lived for a while...
