Ron,

I have to say, that the anomallies you are experiencing seem unique to your
environment, but you might try if you haven't already, running them by fs.
First, the windows update issue is fairly easy to solve and you did not tell
us whether or not 6.0 resolved it. All you have to do is uninstall all the
updates till you find the one that corrects the problem if you can. If you
are using windows.98, this may not be possible and if you've installed xp
sp2 and sp2 is the problem, try looking for more updates. There was
recently an update to outlook express on the windows up date site. I have
issues on one of my computers with windows updates which force me to use the
jaws cursor exclusively and we've not been able to get to the bottom of
that.

The merge should have been fine, but you should be able to run a repair on
jaws and see if that fixes some of your issues if they were not present
before the merge. Much of this sounds like you may need to update your
video driver, but without knowing your os, I know, If you put it in on the
previous thread, I forgot, we cannot say for sure.
