Peter and all,

the conventional wisdom on tis seems to be that word is much more accessible
at least with jaws than is wp. It also seems to be the case that if you try
to load complex word docs into wp, you will run up against some issues that
may make your document difficult to work with and it is also suggested that
export to word of wp files is not smooth as silk either. Having said all
this, I don't think you need worry abut going streight to word. Wp for
windows is not any easier to use and is still quite a bit different from wp
for dos.

Subject: [VICUG-L] WordPerfect for Windows

Hello All,

Does anybody here use WordPerfect for Windows?

I've been using WordPerfect 6.1 for DOS for many years, and I'm warey of
abandoning it for Word, just to have a word processor that is compatible
with the Windows system.

I'm thinking that a Windows-based version of WordPerfect may be a good way
to make the transition.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Peter Seymour
