Hi,
I had formatted a cdrw and named it prosignia and used it to make a
selective backup of material on my pc's hard drive. I was able to
successfully read and write that cd for several weeks.
Thinking that my setup allows for at least some degree of plug and play, I
later decided that i needed access to that cd. I plugged the drive into the
usb port and turned on the drive without rebooting windows. I inserted the
cd, waited some time to give things time to communicate and ran windows
explorer. The drive showed up in the drive list of windows explorer, but the
disk name now reads Udfreader.
My fear is that I've lost what was on that cd. I'm wondering if I do a
quick format of that cd, might I be able to recover my files? Or might I
recover the cd some other way?
Help appreciated.
