not only the IRQ share, but also the heat issue, as you know, today's agp
cards run hot and need a lot of cooling/case cooling. if you run a pci card
next to agp and without good case cooling, you are killing the agp card
slowly.
unless there is no other way to fit the pci card, never ever use PCI1.
