Ketosis is stress for anyone, for the simple reason that blood
glucose must be maintained, and stress hormones are the body's
signal to do that. The issue, I think, is how efficiently the
body responds to those hormones and gets blood glucose up. If
it's not efficient, then one has to endure higher levels of the
stress hormones for longer periods, which has consequences.
Anyway, that's my theory.
