I'm also sceptical towards white potatoes. Are they edible raw? (in any
significant quatity)
When I dig up the first new potatoes, I like to eat raw one or two small
ones (but not more than that)
I tend to think that the main problem with white potatoes, is that they are
"bland-filler-stuff ", that
takes up room for better foods with more , vitamins and minerals. As an
example - before potatoes came to Europe,
kale was eaten "instead" of potatoes (as a winter-food). Kale is far
more nutritious than potatoes.
