Fresh fruits juices have to tendency of causing blood sugar and insulin
spikes. Better to eat the whole fruit, fiber and all.

Berries and locally-grown, organic, in-season fruits.

Fruits are cell cleanses. They require a minimum of digestive energy while
providing a quality source of nutrients. First thing in the morning by
themselves is a good time to eat fruit.
Craving carbs while exercising is likely a response to falling glycogen
reserves. Such cravings may diminish once your body adjusts to burning fat
reserves for energy.
