is that because of the lease or just for every car someone moves into the
state? i need to know that since i eventually plan to become a texan,

Yeah, that was our experience. We turned our first leases in last April and,
all together we are paying $450/mo. for two new cars. Of course, if and when
we move to Texas, we will be sock with about 1800 per car for some state
fee.
