Beth,

I'm in a wheelchair ful-time but however my balance is getting a lot better
the more independent I get, so on a 1-10 scale I put myself as a 4 or 5.
However I would definitely need some trunk support but I think something
like a tractor seat would probably do the job. And my feet would definitely
have to be strapped down. Thinking about it, you're right I should go to a
bike shop because the modifications would probably be easier now because I'm
physically a lot better than what I was as a child.

Thanks,
Anthony

I think a few people here have one that they ride and may be able to let
you
know the make and model. For things like bikes, it's a personal what
works
for you. Have you gone down to a real bike store and looked at some of
theirs? They have trikes down here because a lot of the "older" folks
enjoy
riding them, and they have big baskets in the back to put stuff in. How
good is your balance, would you need any added equipment such as trunk
  support you think?
Most of the types of trikes I know about would probably be a little small
  for you.

  Beth,

I know that I probably shouldn't say this because it might make you feel
old, but you reminded me of my parents because as a child, they always
strapped me on to a 3-wheel bike and let me go biking with the neighbor
kids, they didn't see anything wrong with it. They even allowed me to
make
some tips, so I learned how to ride responsible, which is something I
would
suggest to other parents to let their children tip and things because
that's
the best way to teach responsibility to any child with or without
disabilities. In the winter time, they even brought the bike into our
unfinished basement at the time, to let me ride down there. To them, it
was
therapy for me but they wanted me to have fun too, and as you said smiles
say it all :-) :-) :-) Speaking of bikes, they're trying to encourage me
into getting one again, do you have any suggestions on 3-wheel bikes for
  adults.

  Thanks,
  Anthony
