Yes on the hw series monobanders. My first ssb radio was a Swan 270B with the dc supply for mobile. That was some fun time dating my wife and traveling to ham fests. No time now and no money like than.
I can recall one trip to Hermiston Oregon when where I picked up a station wagon full of military surplus radios to bring back to Boise. I was staying in Pendelton with a friend and at that time had an HF swantenna a 2 meter full size collinear antenna, a multiband scanner antenna and a 102 inch whip for whatever but particularly for a mobile 7.8 meter military frequencies.
On the freeway west of Pendelton the state police started following us and by the time we had come to downtown Pendelton there were six local police cars following us and trading off positions. We were never stopped but I was busy working hf and VHF radios talking to folks in Boise and our local host in Pendelton. Ah what fun!!!!!!
Ah yes, I recall that I also used the 102 inch for fm for a discrete stereo receiver with a pre-amp for mobile fm dxing as well.
As Archie said and still does in reruns, "those were the days!!!!"
Thank You!
