try sending to the thf6a from another radio. this may be part of a private signaling system or are you hearing this alarm ring on any signal present? If not it could be a way to monitor a busy repeater without having to listen to everything else on the channel while listening for specific stations calling you only.
Thank You!

Hi everyone, I've been playing around with the THF6A here, and I am
wondering what the point is behind this mode when you press A and Enter
and the radio rings like a phone. Then, when a transmission is herd on
a frequency you are on it will ring like a phone to let you know something
is there. I guess I just don't see the point of this. Is there something
else you can do in that mode? Any thoughts would be appreciated, and
thanks in advance.
