I uninstalled my Conexant 56k modem in favor of a Zoom external modem, but
the uninstall routine left an HFS country selector in the control panel. I
can find the entry in the winnt/system32 directory, but when I try to delete
it(Like in Win9x), it tells me the file is being used by Windows. I tried
deleting in Safe mode, but get the same result. I reinstalled the modem
driver and uninstalled using the Add/Remove and then tried the software
uninstall, but no luck. Anyone know how to get rid of the control panel
entry? Windows 2000 is the system, and the modem is physically gone from
the slot
