You are better off eating more vegetables and fruits rather than taking
potassium pills. Imagine how many pills you'd have to take to reach the
level of 8 to 10 grams (8000 to 10000 mg) potassium estimated in healthy
primitive/paleo diets.

Who would take 80 pills a day, and why, since we have to eat anyway. Even
if you are low carbing, you can eat an abundance of "bargain"
veggies---leafy green and fibrous veggies. If you omit salt from your diet,
you'll automatically improve your potassium to sodium ratio. Salt
substitutes contain potassium chloride, which Cordain and some of his
cronies believe is toxic, very irritating to the body. The potassium from
produce is potassium bicarbonate, which is healthful.

It is not hard to take in 7000 mg or more of potassium per day from fresh
produce and unsalted fish, fowl, and meat. If you're busy, try frozen
veggies.
