If you or your husband like woodworking, it is rather simple to build
one of these.  I did and I ordered their special heater designed for
the cabinet.  It is a great dehydrator, I love it!  They have a
special food-safe screen that apparently you can't get at hardware stores.

btw, you can also order kits from them.
