The two rigs are bery similar. The only difference I am aware of is that the
TM=V7A has dual band receive but the G707 has not.

You are also probably aware that Kenwood stopped making the G707 grumble
brumble. It was about %100 cheaper and we liked it better for that reason. I
would recommend the G707 if you can find one.
