SUMMARY of responses:
5 people mentioned that the real issue is
cross-contamination.
10 people said they (or their kids) eat the cereals
with no problems. Many of these (about 7 or so)
mentioned that they are sensitive or very sensitive to
gluten.
2 people said they have eaten the cereals and had a
reaction. One said they got the reaction the third
time they tried Cocoa Pebbles, probably due to
cross-contamination.
2 people said they wouldn't eat it, wouldn't take the
chance.
1 person specifically said that Kraft assured them
these cereals are gluten-free.
1 person specifically pointed to the Post website
which says they are *not* gluten-free (but doesn't say
why). Actually, it says all Post cereals are not
gluten-free.
1 person said that Fruity Pebbles is gluten-free, but
Cocoa Pebbles isn't because of a form of barley in it.
A couple of people mentioned other similar cereals to
try which are more likely to be GF and maybe not have
cross-contamination issues:
Quaker brand Dyno bites (in the bag)
Maltomeal brands of these cereals
Amazon cocoa rice and panda puffs
