This is weird and I don't even know why I'm posting this except that
perhaps someone may benefit from it or someone may have a similar
experience to share with me that may benefit me.
I had a colonoscopy Wednesday. I'll spare you the grusome details & cut
to the chase. My GI specialist found that I have an unusually twisted,
distorted colon that is usually mobile, not fixed in place like a normal
colon & perhaps longer than average. (Final results pending.) This
explains the very SLOW transit time (constipation) & gas production
(overgrowth of gut flora) & thus food allergies I've been suffereing with
for so many years.
My neighbor had a similar problem with her sigmoid colon & was able to
get it surgically "fixed" in place with a mylar sheath tacking it to her
sacrum. She reports that her many, many food allergies have greatly
diminished since her surgery & that her bowel function is improved. Does
anyone have or know of a similar experience?
