Hi Everybody! I haven't been on here in quite awhile. I was wondering
if anyone could give me some feedback regarding the tests performed
at Entero-lab and Dr. Fine. I recently went ahead and had several of
the tests done. What is the thought on how accurate and legitimate
they are? If the stool test is so accurate why do all these other
docs think that the blood tests are so much better and the biopsies?
I keep getting conflicting info and am just plain frustrated. I was
in bed for three years and went around the country. I had a biopsy
done and was told it was negative. Recently had a new blood test done
and was told it was negative. My mom, after much research felt I
still might have celiac and put me on the gluten free diet. It got me
out of bed and mostly out of pain even though I still have so much
diarreah. My colon is not doing so good. I just had about my tenth
colonoscopy. Was told I had crohn's even though they stated
everything they found was atypical for crohn's. By the way, none of
the many treatments I have been on for crohn's worked. Then I took
these tests from entero-lab and it states that I do have celiac, I do
not have crohn's or ulcerative colitis (I was previously told I had
that) AND I carry BOTH genes for celiac which means each of my
parents carried a gene. WHEW! Don't know where to go from here!!!!!

Thanks!

Paige
