What OS are you running? I've never seen an icon copied over another icon, but if the copied icon is responding to a double click, it ought to respond to a right click as well. Try right clicking on it and choose delete. If that doesn't work, try right clicking again, choose properties, then choose find target, which will show you what program it is bringing up. However, putting an icon in such an out of the way place means uninstalling the program will not uninstall the icon. Also, try dragging and dropping the copied icon off the e drive icon to your desktop, and if you can do that you should be able to right click on it and delete it from there.
