While I don't have personal experience with these specific monitors, I
can share my impressions. The Envision brand is a low-end product. Does
not mean it is necessarily bad, but I would not expect much from it. If
I were asked to rate the units you listed, I would put them in exactly
the reverse order of you preference. For my daughter, I bought an NEC
15-inch LCD monitor and have had good luck with it so far (about 6
months). My own monitor is a ViewSonic 20-inch LCD - not in the same
price range as what you are looking for! Mine is a relatively new
addition (about 2 months old). It works well, but it is a replacement.
The original one I bought had some problems from the start and ViewSonic
sent a new one. It did cost me shipping however.

Hope this may be of some help.

Peter

I'm looking at the 15-inch LCDs and have narrowed it down to 3 models-
based on what I looked at last night in CompUSA. They are (in order of
preference):

Envision EN-5100
Samsung SyncMaster 570v
ViewSonic VA550
