This is the same device the house inspector used when I was thinking about
buying my current place of residence. Gave me a more secure feeling that
the guy knows his business. I've since seen these testers at Home Depot,
and the local chain (Chase Pitkins) in the electrical supply section.
I think a voltmeter might be able to tell something about the wire gauge,
but don't tell my electrician relatives if it turns out I'm TOTALLY wrong.
I don't want them to disown me.
