Query on our local heritage advisors e-network:

"Can anyone tell me what a sleeved nail is?  I am
dealing with a a house that has 'nightingale floors'
and some of the sleeved nails need replacement but I
know nothing of modern equivalents.  Can anyone help?"

I have no idea either ... any of you smart Americans
able to help?
