Unless you are using a crystal set, forget it.  Remember that superhets
use at least one stage of conversion and that implies a local
oscillator.  That means a little transmitter.  Heck; The Powers That Are
don't even allow CD players or computers to operate during take-off and
landing because they emit RF.
